Spring, TX School Guide

Spring is home to many excellent schools that are sure to suit every educational need your family may have. The area offers superb public schools, private schools, colleges and universities. The Spring community is dedicated to providing a safe and encouraging environment where all students can grow and achieve their goals on a daily basis.

Spring Independent School District

The Spring Independent School District serves approximately 32,000 prekindergarten through twelfth-grade students in a diverse and growing district located 20 miles north of downtown.

Spring ISD’s student-to-teacher ratio is 22 to 1 for prekindergarten through fourth grade and 25 to 1 for fifth- through twelfth-grades. The District offers half-day prekindergarten classes for qualified four-year olds, full-day kindergarten, bilingual and English as a Second Language programs, gifted and talented programs and honors and Advanced Placement classes.

The District focuses on being fiscally responsible in all areas. For the fourth consecutive year, Spring ISD has earned a rating of superior achievement in the state’s financial accountability rating system.

St. Edward Catholic School is a fully-accredited parochial school in the ArchDiocese of Galveston-Houston. Founded in 1972, the school’s purpose has been to provide a quality Catholic education and to enable each child to reach his or her highest potential.

St. Edward’s campus is located at 2601 Spring Stuebner Road in Spring, Texas a northern suburb of Houston. The school is set on 15 wooded acres, approximately one mile west of Interstate 45.

Providence Classical School is both a primary and a secondary school, based on Classical Christian Education principles, in the northwest Houston area. The school includes pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our facilities are located on the grounds of Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church at 6006 Spring Cypress Road in Spring, TX. The school began in the Fall of 2000 with 15 full-time and 5 part-time students. We currently have enrolled over 250 full-time students and several part-time students. Providence Classical School has now graduated senior classes every year since May of 2004. Our graduates have been accepted into many fine universities such as Texas A&M, Biola, Covenant, the Air Force Academy, St. Thomas, Sam Houston, and University of Dallas.
