Long before Tomball became the community we know and love, it was just a quiet stretch of land along the railroad in the late 1800s. Originally known as “Peck,” the town began to grow when the Trinity and Brazos Valley Railway came through in 1907—bringing new opportunities, businesses, and families to the area.
But even before the official name change to Tomball in 1907, early settlers and families were already laying the groundwork for what would become a close-knit, hardworking community rooted in agriculture, trade, and connection.
It’s amazing to think that the charm we’re working to preserve today started with just a few determined pioneers and a railroad line.
